I found out that Biopac might be able to present a sound that changes according to a calculated channel menu: Biopac can communicate with Ethernet connection. You can avoid this box by logging in before posting.
Or, maybe just have one computer? I am doing the same task in the scanner later. Thanks for your help.
Then it’s no solution for me because I just need the signal to be transmitted to the computer without participants hearing it. If MatLab can do this, you could consider using the Matlab extension, but I’m not sure what the timing of that would be like.
That could be my feedback to participants. Or would it cause delays in the presentaion of the experiment to have Matlab running on the same computer? MP – show input values – sound. I looked at the AcqKnowledge manual here http: Would that be possible to use the dll for matlab toguether with the matlab interface for Presentation?
I got this answer from Biopac: You should tell them that you want to transmit the heart rate information mmp150 another system in order to dynamically change a stimulus display, and ask them if they have any capabilities for that. And, I would like to see the signal for calibration before I start the experiment I guess I could use Matlab manuao plot it though.
Peter Pebler Did you present stimuli at the same time or was it just a feedback display? Not really optimal because I will get no info on how much HR has changed.
This appears to just be a way to display certain data being measured by Biopac on the screen in the AcqKnowledge software. I could trigger when HR goes up and when it goes down.
If not, how could i make it possible?
But, could be acceptable. So, my question is: In the future I might change to the Ethernet solution though. Presentation can record from a microphone, but it does not analyze the wavefiles at all, or do anything with them during runtime other than save them. I do program in Matlab but I mamual prefer not to do the heart rate analysis algorithm by myself. What software did you use hoping for presentation? Jonathan Berrebi In that case you don’t need their Acqknowledge any more.
Since you are not logged in, please enter the text below. Since I have done some experiments with biopac bioppac presentation toguether, I could not resist writing a post. But, I would like it to be visual. However, this may be beyond the capabilities of many users.
You could immediately change a visual stimulus based on what you get. Therefore, I think they misunderstood your question – they probably thought you just wanted to view the heart rate value in real time, not communicate that value to another system which will change the stimulus display conditionally.
BIOPAC Triggering & Gating Solutions
Kristin Geraci But, the software needed to transmit HR through Ethernet from Biopac to another biopaac is expensive. Biopac to a computer with Matlab and Presentation that presents stimulus. I might go for a simple triggering through the printer cable instead. What is the maximum frequency that these inputs can come in?
